I want to let anyone who has been reading my blog know that
A. I appreciate it so much, and I want to say thank you to my family and friends (and a few friendly strangers!) who have been reading and supporting me with this! Each bit of encouragement I’ve gotten from you means so much to me. I thought about starting a blog for so long and I’m so glad I finally did. I still have so much to learn and improve on but I’m really enjoying it!
B. I have changed my blog’s platform to Blogger. When I started out I wasn’t sure what the best platform would be so I basically just blindly chose Tumblr, and after learning more about blogging this last month, I’ve realized the Blogger platform matches my vision for my blog more than Tumblr does. So…
I’ve switched most of my main posts over to my NEW ADDRESS:
All new content from here on will be posted there. I’m still learning this new platform and working the kinks out, but it’s basically good to go. In fact, I’ve even improved a few posts because images work a lot better on the new platform. I hope you’ll bookmark it, share it, and keep reading! Thank you so much!
Apart from the doctor’s visit yesterday, the only other outing we had this weekend was to go pick up Chinese takeout. Poor Dusty still isn’t feeling well so we’ve just been laying low at home, with him drifting in and out of sleep and me bringing him this and that and watching hours of Olympics. The weather, though is absolutely incredible and we’ve enjoyed the cool breezes coming in after weeks of air conditioning.
The back of this shirt is actually really pretty, with a slight opening and covered buttons going down it. We snapped these so quick on our way in to the restaurant I forgot to show you. I loved this shirt when I bought it but I feel like this trend is already on it’s way out. I’ll try to get another wear or two out if it.
The cooler weather meant I could wear these Joe Fresh boyfriend jeans for the first time. I feel like Cher (Yes another Clueless reference) when her dad says “Cher, what did you do at school today?” She thinks for a sec and says “Well, I broke in my purple clogs…?” It was such a blah weekend that breaking in new jeans was the highlight. Ah well. Send some healthy vibes to the hubby would you?
Some days are meant for the most basic of the basics in my closet. As in shorts, a worn-to-death grey boyfriend tee, soft denim jacket, and the most comfortable Toms kicks in existence. And a lazy girl dry shampooed ponytail.
I absolutely adore this little love bracelet. I ordered it on Etsy and it unfortunately broke during an um… extra fun girls night, and the maker of it was kind enough to send me a new one.
I quickly threw on these basic pieces after deciding at about 2:00 this afternoon that Dusty had to see the doctor. (And if you’re doing the math, yes, that means I spent the first half of the day in something even more casual than this. AKA pajamas. What of it.) He’s had quite a bug for the last week and we decided it was time. Aside from the time he sliced his hand open on a rusty car and I forced him to go get a tetanus shot, it was his first doctor visit in the nine years I’ve known him. Tough as nails, that one. (And shhh, sweet as sugar too.)
I haven’t been this excited for a movie… like, ever.
I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.
One of so many wonderful scenes in Roman Holiday. An absolute favorite of mine.
